This is a medical study to test a novel therapy for sacroiliac joint pain made by Tenon Medical. It’s used to treat people with pain in their sacroiliac (SI) joint – that’s the joint where your spine meets your pelvis.

Do you think you are a candidate for SI joint fusion?

People with Sacroiliac (SI) joint pain often have trouble walking, sitting, or standing for long. The goal of this study is to see if the system is safe and helpful for reducing that pain and improving movement.


Up to 30 adults (18 or older) who have had SI joint pain for at least 6 months and haven’t gotten better with non-surgical treatments.


You must be covered by any of the following insurance companies: United Healthcare, Medicare, Aetna, Health Net Federal Services, VPN Insurance Agency, Molina Healthcare, TriWest, Blue Shield, EKHealth.


What: All participants will get surgery using the SI Joint Fusion System.

Where: At 3 hospitals or clinics in the U.S.

How long: Participants will be followed for up to 24 months after their surgery to see how they do.

What to Expect

As part of the study, participants will:


  • Undergo a comprehensive screening process to confirm eligibility
  • Upon successful screening, undergo a procedure using the SI Joint Fusion System.
  • Attend several follow-up visits over the course of 24 months to monitor progress and collect feedback

Participating in this study includes comprehensive follow-up care by a dedicated medical team. All procedures and equipment are fully covered. You will also be compensated for your time and effort in participating.
